Christina Pendleton & Associates handles all traffic matters, including Speeding, Reckless Driving, DUI and Driving While Suspended/With No License. Call 804-554-4444 today to discuss your case with an attorney that handles these matters regularly in Chesterfield County traffic courts.

Christina Pendleton has helped hundreds of clients get favorable dispositions in Chesterfield County’s Traffic Courts and 1000’s more throughout the Commonwealth. The firm is built on four simple principles:

1. Being honest with our clients in the assessment of their case based on our handling of 1000’s of traffic cases: Our experience has shown that too many attorneys will tell clients what they want to hear regardless of the reality of their situation. Christina will tell you the truth about your case based on handling hundreds of cases similar to yours. Sometimes an attorney cannot help you. When that is the case, we will tell you without taking your money for a court appearance.

2. Make hiring the firm a very simple process: Just call 804-554-4444 and one of our friendly staff will walk you through the process and make it as simple as possible.

3. Developing relationships with Judges, Police Officers, and Commonwealth Attorneys to secure the best disposition possible for our client: there are very few “simple” traffic cases. Sometimes you may be an out-of-state driver, you may have a commercial’s driver’s license, or possibly have prior traffic violations. All of these things serve as moving parts which must be considered in the disposition of your case and requires someone with experience handling cases in the County of Chesterfield.

4. Provide quality legal representation at affordable prices: We believe every person has the right to legal representation. This is why we provide free consultations to explain your rights and why we strive to keep our fees very competitive.

Chesterfield hears traffic cases at 8:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. There are 5 courtrooms in Chesterfield County that hear traffic cases. Chesterfield is generally known to be one of the stricter jurisdictions in Central Virginia, regardless of the client’s Courtroom assignment.

Chesterfield is one of the stricter jurisdictions in Central Virginia.  Expect long delays in court because Judges rarely start on time, and when they start they will first hear Attorney cases and Motions.

Expect long wait times because not only does court usually start late, but the attorneys and Motions get heard prior to the judge hearing actual traffic cases.

The best reason to hire an attorney in Chesterfield is that the attorney can negotiate and possibly come to an agreement with the Police Officer and the Commonwealth Attorneys before court begins. This is different from most other counties/cities, because Commonwealth Attorneys in many jurisdictions do not get involved in traffic cases. Police officers and Commonwealth Attorneys in Chesterfield will not speak to Defendants directly; they will only speak to attorneys. Also, the client does not have to be present in court if he/she hires an attorney.

Police officers and Commonwealth Attorneys in Chesterfield County will not negotiate directly with Defendants. They will only speak to your attorney.

If the client hires an attorney, the client must send a copy of his/her state’s driving record to our office so that we can produce that record to the judge. If the client has a Virginia driver’s license, we still suggest the client secure an UNCERTIFIED driving record and submit the record to our office so an attorney can review your record prior to your court date.  If given the option, an UNCERTIFIED, 5 year record should suffice for Chesterfield County Court.

Sometimes the judge may require the client to attend driving school as part of the disposition in the case. Driving School can be completed online (on sites such as in the comfort of the client’s home and does not need to be attended in person (special exceptions exist for drivers under the age of 21-ask your attorney during the free consultation).
